Memorial Tribute to our "Puppy Boy", Windeville's Caesar V. Himmel

Caesar was not a show dog, nor did he have any titles, but he was the
best behaved watch dog we have ever owned.  Puppy Boy had the most
personality & did the craziest things, thus lovingly earning the title
"Crazy Man".  He earned his "Puppy Boy" name as he was perfectly

behaved as a puppy.  Caesar LOVED to put his head into a 5 gallon pail

& fling it on his head while he barked. Shaking that bucket was the best

fun & his "surround sound".  Caesar had a huge love of the water.  I

know that he would have loved to have had a fire hose blast him in the

face.  Our dear Crazy Man..... you gave us so much joy. You loved to get

into the horse trough which was your "pool".  That was quite a site.

You blessed me with a true Kodak moment 2 days before you left us.

You had both of your front feet IN the trough, biting the water as it was

filling the tank, & both of your rear feet were perched on the rim of the ,

trough with your bum straight up in the air.  Sadly I did not know you

would such a silly thing, & I did not have a camera handy.

Bubby, you were SO smart.  You knew you could push people's buttons

& had the best time doing it. You would look everyone in the eye
telling them you were NOT going to let them in to your home.  Your
favorite game was to lay flat on the ground, & when a stranger would
come up to the gate, you would jump 6' straight into the air. THAT
was usually good for a few laughs from you!  We could see your
delight in doing this, even though the other people failed to see the
"humor" in it.  You never backed down to anyone or anything.
We delighted in having Linda come by. Your mind games did not work
with her. Linda would just say what a silly boy you were & laugh.

As crazy as you acted Caesar, you were so very affectionate. Oh how

I loved it when you sat so quietly while being petted as you lovingly
gazed into OUR eyes.  And, in true Rottweiler behavior, you would run
& get your toy & act silly when we stopped petting you.  How blissfully
annoying it was when you would hide your ball deep UNDER the
cushion we were sitting on, or way into or under the couch or chair we
were sitting on. When it was your bedtime, you would FLY down the
hall right into your crate, & wait patiently for us to bring you your
cookie.  Unlike the girls, you NEVER counter surfed or took anything
that was not yours.

Your favorite thing in the world I believe as going for a ride. If we didn't

take you for what YOU thought was a long enough ride, you just would
NOT get out of the truck!!  SO WHAT that you were just parked in the
driveway at home & were not going anyplace.  You were where you
wanted to be; IN my truck!  You always made us laugh when riding in
the truck as you would NOT stick your head OUT of the open window.
If I opened the window more, you just crouched down further!  Such a
SILLY PUPPY BOY.  How ironic that you went to the Bridge in your
favorite place: at home in the driveway, in my truck & on  Rose Bud
& Sassy's Birthday.

Daddy & I were there with you when you left us so suddenly.  Your
beautiful sweet brown almond eyes looked at us those last minutes
you were with us, telling us you just could not stay & it was time for
you to go. I held you in my arms as you made that last journey.

Caesar, as I told you when we first brought you home, you would always

be my PUPPY BOY.  Little did we know we would only have you for
6.5 yrs.  You have left all who knew you with so many wonderful
memories of your silly antics.  Those who loved you will never be able
to look at a hose, a bucket, a horse trough, or our trucks without
thinking of you and smiling.

You are back home now, where you will stay.  When I took your shell to

the vets to be cremated, I know that was you, Bubby, in the body of a
large raven, perched on the roof of the building next to the vets.  You

were squawking directly at me, telling me HI & that you had made the

journey safely to Rainbow Bridge & would wait there for us. We know

you are free of all pain, & have been reunited with your brothers, Ice

& Chase, Teri, Granny & all the furr-friends who made the journey

before you.  Now you start your new job as our Rottie Angel, guarding
over us from Above.  THANK YOU, Bubby, for all of the times you
have come back to visit with us. We look forward to them often.

This page was lovingly created to CELEBRATE the life of Caesar.
